 1.  What is Namaste Pay?

Ans: Namaste Pay is the most trusted digital wallet of Nepal which works on both online and offline mode. Namaste Pay’s vision is to be one stop solution for all financial transaction providing its services not just to the technology literate banked population, but also to carter the needs of unbanked population and facilitate them to move together in the new digital world.

Registered users of Namaste Pay can currently load fund via bank link, NTC Mobile Recharge, pay Electricity and Khanepani bills and make Fund Transfer. More services such as Transactions via Agent Network, QR Payments, Other Telco Recharge, ISP Payments, TV/DTH Recharge, Government Payments, Tickets Booking (Flight, Bus, Cable Car, Movie), Insurance Premium Payment, Educational Institute Fee Payments, Demat or Mero Share Renewal, Remittance will be added subsequently.

2.      Does it cost to register at Namaste Pay?

Ans: Registering at Namaste Pay is FREE.

3.      Are there any charges applicable in using Namaste Pay services?

Ans: Using Namaste Pay does not cost you anything and is typically free, apart from a few kinds of transaction that could come with a flat fee which is also kept very minimal.

 

4.      Does Namaste Pay operate online only?

Ans: Namaste Pay wallet can be accessed via online as well as offline. The internet is required to use mobile app but Namaste Pay can also be accessed through USSD service by dialing *500# which does not require internet.

Ans: Namaste Pay operates offline as well. It can be accessed through USSD service by dialing *500# which does not require internet.

6.      How to withdraw the amount of wallet if I want to close Namaste Pay account?

Ans: You can either withdraw the amount of wallet by transferring to your linked             bank             account in Namaste Pay Wallet or through Namaste Pay authorized agent.

7.      Is Namaste Pay app only for Android users?

Ans: Currently Namaste Pay is available for Android but it will also be available for IOS very soon.

8.      Is Namaste Pay secure?

Ans: Namaste Pay is very secure, as its activity is monitored and regulated by Nepal         Rastra             Bank. In addition, we value our customer's privacy. Hence, we have adopted        security measures to protect our customer’s data and update it time and again.

9.      Is Namaste pay only available for the NTC mobile number users?

Ans: Namaste Pay shall be available for all the major telco users. Currently, it is available for NTC users and we are working to bring other telecom operators in Namaste Pay system.

10.  Is fingerprint login available?

Ans. Yes, fingerprint login is available.

11.  What is Request Money?

Ans: It is an easy way to request money from anyone registered on Namaste Pay wallet. It can be your family, friends or whom you trust. You can request or send money by just proving mobile number. You also have the option of QR scanning as well for request and send money.

12.  How do I Request Money?

Ans:

Step 1: Click on “Request now” on Home Screen.

Step 2: Insert the person’s mobile number from whom you want to request money.        Also, input the requested Amount (NPR).        

Step 3: Click on “Next”.

Step 4: Confirm the details and click on “Request Now”.

             Step 5: Enter your PIN to verify.

Step 6: Click on “Verify”. After you have successfully requested money, the transaction will be enlisted in “Pending Transaction”. You can also “Cancel” the request from pending transaction.

13.  What does “Approve the Request Money” mean?

Ans: Once the process of requesting money is completed, the Sender’s request is recorded in pending transaction of the Receiver. Receiver has an option to “Approve” or “Reject” that request under 24 hours.

 

14.  How can I approve or reject Money?

Step 1: Click on the “Hamburger Menu” at the top left corner of the home screen.

Step 2: Click on “Pending transactions”. You will see a list of requested transactions.

Step 3: After that, click on “Approve” or “Reject” on the required transaction.

Step 4: Enter the PIN

After you have approved or rejected the request, both parties will receive SMS from Namaste Pay.

 

15.  What is the maximum time to approve “Request Money”?

Ans: The maximum time to approve the requested money is 24 hours.

16.  What is pending transaction?

Ans:  On the Hamburger menu, at the top left corner of the home screen, you can find “Pending Transaction” tab. Inside that tab, you can find your pending transactions related to the “Request Money” and you can either “Approve" or “Reject” the request. The maximum time to approve the requested money is 24 hours.

17.  Can I cancel my “Request Money” once requested?

The Requester can cancel the “Request money” if required by going to the “Pending Transaction” tab and click on the “Cancel” button.

18.  Why do I need to answer Security Questions?

Ans: In case you forget the PIN, you have an option to recover your Namaste Pay account through security questions. Please make sure that the questions you answer are confidential and easy for you to recall.
